KLUNDERT – The 38th Truckstar Festival from 27 to 29 July at the TT Circuit in Assen, produced a winner from Brabant: the Scania R450 from Weeda Transport from Klundert. Driver Stephan van Spronsen finds it hard to believe that his truck has been voted best truck in the Netherlands by the professional jury!
The Truckstar Festival is a real event. And treat for lovers. It was this 38th edition about 55,000. They came to admire the more than 2,200 trucks and enjoy the races and stunts that the drivers took with their cars. Such as caravan races always spectacular.
Three times struck
This is not the first time that a Brabant truck is taking off with the first price. In fact, Klundert's Weeda Transport can rub his hands for the third time. The company also won the title of "Holland's best truck" in 2007 and 2013. In 2013 it was thanks to the driver Bart Sluijs.
This year, Klundert's driver Stephan van Spronsen arrives. "When you hear that you have won, you forget everything, it becomes very deep." He had done everything he could to become a winner. "I live for that and I really spend my hours improving and polishing my truck, which is why Weeda also has plenty of room for that."
The result can be there. And the most beautiful truck in the Netherlands and a cup that is right in the truck loading area!
