Summary:

In 2017, the Bureau Berenschot realized an evaluation on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS). long-term care under the Dignity and Pride (W & T) program. This evaluation has shown that the W & T method has a number of important advantages, but also a number of risks.

The Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports wishing to make a decision regarding the further development of the Wlz indication, Berenschot was commissioned to carry out a representative needs assessment. in the V & V and GHZ institutions. It is a question of whether it is 1) necessary to work according to the W & T method, the care organizations carrying out the assessment of the indications and 2) to assess whether it is still necessary to work according to the method. S & T if the CIZ has its current skills. changes the processing time of the request to the publication of the Wlz indication.

Positive for both scenarios

Research shows that respondents respond primarily positively to both scenarios. The accelerated CIZ procedure is the most positive for the first indication of customers. Health care providers can also talk about both scenarios in case of reindication. With regard to reindications, the scenario in which the W & T method is used is the most positively evaluated.

Research also shows that organizations that strongly favor the W & T method often claim that they need a quick decision. From one side because they want to be able to quickly clarify the client, on the other, provide the right care to the client legally and financially.

This does not mean that all claimants by type are equally supportive of both scenarios. Research shows that the W & T work method has a much greater preference in the V & V than in the ZGH.

Sufficient knowledge health care organizations must have sufficient knowledge and expertise to apply this method of work. Implicitly, one can also conclude that they seem to have some confidence in the fact that this knowledge and expertise is sufficient

A preference for the accelerated procedure CIZ more often accompanies a taking into account the independence of the assessment of the indication.

Nonrandom Response

Although organizations are randomly selected, the answer is usually not arbitrary. 80% of the GHZ organizations contacted responded. This gives a chance that selective nonresponse has a major impact on the image presented.

Nearly 60% of V & V suppliers responded. This is a relatively high percentage for policy research. But this does not take away the fact that it is possible that the image with respect to this group and therefore to some extent also the total is distorted. It is therefore important to interpret the results of this research in the light of ongoing discussions with parties in regular contact with the field.
