Men who eat nuts twice a day would improve the quality of their sperm. This seems Wednesday of research among 119 men, conducted by researchers at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Spain

Half of the research group kept its own diet and the rest of the men ate with 60 grams of nuts.

The quality of sperm of these men is examined after fourteen weeks. In the group that ate more nuts, improved sperm quality was detected.

The amount of spermatozoa had increased by 14 percent among nut eaters. The sperm motility was improved by 6%, the speed of 4% and the shape and size of the spermatozoa by 1%.

Significant
"These numbers are significant," says Nicholas Macklon. "The chances are that they make a positive contribution to a man's fertility."

Macklon points out that there are many other factors that influence this. The actual influence of a diet rich in walnuts is therefore not great. Together, these factors measure sperm quality and are prepared by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The results of the research are published this week in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and are already presented at the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology. Congress in Barcelona
