Earlier this year, in March, the management received an e-mail from the so-called French head office. They were asked to transfer 800,000 euros to finance a takeover in Dubai. The courier pointed out that it was strictly confidential. The Dutch management had doubts, but finally decided to cooperate: it was not for nothing a request from the "head office". Then come several requests for invented e-mail addresses, made by people claiming to be the directors of the headquarters. In a subsequent claim, the fraudsters claimed nearly 2.5 million euros. Both directors found the request remarkable, but continued to transfer the amounts requested. "Wonderful process, never known like that," said the director.
