GILZE – The fire in the Geuzenpad Nature Reserve in Gilze is under control. The fire broke out around ten o'clock but was hard to reach for firefighters. Around eleven fifteen, the fire was under control.

The fire was raging in the vicinity of Ossengoor. According to the security region, an area of ​​100×50 meters was destroyed by fire.

Firefighters attacked the fire with water and fire whips among other things. The firefighters had been removed with four fire trucks and two tankers. A police helicopter guarded the fire from the air.

In connection with the high temperature and heavy work, a supply of food and drink was put in place for firefighters, said the Security Region.
