First Aid IJsselmeer Hospital temporarily closed

Following the bankruptcy of the IJsselmeer hospitals in Flevoland, Lelystad's emergency department, after the green light of the inspection, will be temporarily closed as of Monday evening and night.

The first aid closure, for which the judge has already given his permission earlier in the day, because many staff members leave. "Patient safety is at stake and it's a priority," said Bruins. He pointed out that hospitals in the region can offer a helping hand. The minister hopes the measure will be temporary, pending a possible rescue of IJsselmeer hospitals.

Several candidates are interested in the partial or total recovery of the bankruptcy, notes Bruins. He wants to consult the interested parties and hopes to give a definitive answer on Wednesday.

Candidates may go to the trustee in bankruptcy until Friday afternoon, 5 pm. The Bruins would like to talk to them, to make them understand that basic care and emergency care in Lelystad should remain intact. Candidates will then have the necessary time for a new offer until Monday inclusive, after which the Minister hopes to present them within a day or two.

Be that as it may, St Jansdal Hospital in Harderwijk, Cardiology Centra Nederland Cardiology Club and Frisian Antonius Zorggroep have shown interest in Flevoland hospitals in bankruptcy. We do not know yet whether they actually made an offer.
