Free HIV test this summer

Soa Aids Netherlands, in collaboration with GGD Amsterdam and Aids Healthcare Foundation Europe, is offering free HIV tests from 14 to 28 July 2018 in Amsterdam. You can be tested during this period at various locations in Amsterdam, including the AMC, the Kwaku Summer Festival and six GP stations.

Kwaku Summer Festival

The Kwaku Summer Festival, the popular festival of music. Amsterdam Zuidoost, starts on July 14th and it is also the beginning of the week of HIV testing. On Saturday 14, Sunday 15 and Sunday 22 July, Soa Aids Nederland will be attending the festival with the Aids Healthcare Foundation Europe with a bus, where people can get tested for free for HIV. Free, confidential and direct results.

Not to Kwaku? You can also contact 6 GPs in Zuidoost and at AMC. Check soaaids.nl/testweek for the exact locations. You can go there until July 28th. After this date, people can still go to the GGD for a free test

Prevention of the Spread of HIV Infections

Every year, hundreds of thousands of Dutch people suffer from an STD and more than 800 new HIV infections. In the Netherlands, STI AIDS Netherlands works to reduce HIV and other STIs. It is important that you know if you have HIV, because with rapid treatment your health is not affected and you can not transfer HIV either
