GEA measures the number of cells per quarter

[ad_1]

Continuous monitoring of the number of cells per quarter. According to GEA, the dairy technology producer is the only system in the world capable of doing so. The product is available from automatic milking systems.

The monitoring of the number of cells is based on the so-called EPT technology, which means "electrical permittivity threshold". This method records the number of cells in the milk during milking without the need for consumables or additives such as reaction liquid. In addition, the flow of milk is neither hindered nor reduced, no milk is lost and the milking process is not delayed.

In this way, the eggs at risk are identified, after which the system indicates the quarter of the infection. Cell count monitoring can be installed on the DairyRobot M9500 (formerly Monobox) and DairyRobot R9900 (formerly DairyProQ) milking systems. This is possible immediately at the purchase or as an extension of existing systems.

Control of the number of GEA cells is available immediately and will be introduced in the Netherlands at RMV Hardenberg from 30 October to 1 November 2018.
