The Municipality of The Hague's iZi Healthy Long Home program won the International Smart City Award in the Inclusive & Sharing Cities category. Healthy Thel Lang was the only Dutch competitor. The Smart City Award winner was announced yesterday at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.
Hague City Councilor Kavita Parbhudayal (Care, Youth and Public Health) proudly responds to the great news of Barcelona: "In The Hague, we work together, people can stay in their familiar surroundings the most for a long time, and this project contributes to the good human care we want to offer.This award is a recognition of the work we are doing here. "
The iZi Gezond Lang Thuis Program, in collaboration with residents and partners, is focused on the development, testing and implementation of eHealth solutions. You can think of social robots, household robots or sensors in the home that measure the lifestyle, but also to a digital door spy or a personal alarm. The iZi Healthy Long Home program is part of the Innovation in Healthcare project and also focuses on achieving a number of spearheads of the new Youth Health and Public Health Policy.
