Starting in 2016, the then Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport decided to upgrade from 13 to 16 clinics IVF in the Netherlands. The wish of this special permit for an IVF-ICSI laboratory in Hengelo has been honored, with which full treatment can now also be offered in the eastern part of the Netherlands. This means that the fertilization phase and placement of the embryo in IVF or ICSI treatment can now take place in Hengelo.
The laboratory is equipped with the most advanced equipment such as an embryoscope. In this way, each patient receives personalized treatment.
Our clinic
The clinic has existed since 2012 and is a combination of knowledge and expertise in one place, especially for fertility issues. The search and processing options are becoming more extensive. For example, in cooperation with a German sperm bank, donor seeds were made readily available. There are no waiting lists and insemination takes place in Hengelo. Earlier this year, Medlon's andrology laboratory was resumed. Semen analyzes for primary care are now under the responsibility of the Twente Fertility Clinic
In the clinic, gynecologists from Medisch Spectrum Twente (Enschede) and ZGT (Hengelo and Almelo) hospitals, nurses and social workers work. With the addition of the laboratory, the fertility team has also been expanded with analysts and a clinical embryologist.
