AMSTERDAM –
(AT5) ME people went into action this afternoon at Amsterdam Central Station. There were supporters of the Willem II riots. Two platforms have been filed.
The Tilburg club plays tonight in the Johan Cruijff Arena against Ajax. A number of Brabanders had come by train to Amsterdam Central and had apparently been misbehaved there. The police intervened.
Protected Supporters
Platforms 7 and 8 were evacuated by the police. As a result, train traffic to and from the central station was disrupted as other trains had to cope. This disruption seems to have been resolved, but the platforms are still closed. A squad of ME people surrounded the Brabander. They are filtered by train, but the fans' song is heard throughout the station.
There are ten ME vans in front of and behind the station. Police do not yet want to respond to the MOE deployment. As to whether the Brabanders were arrested and how much remains uncertain at the moment
