NIJKERK / AMERSFOORT – Lung Cancer Patients Association The Netherlands, together with Meander Medisch Centrum and other hospitals, hold a national thematic afternoon for people with lung cancer and their loved ones on Saturday, November 3 from 11:00 to 16:30. . This year also, the Meander Medical Center in Amersfoort. November was declared lung cancer month. Patient organizations around the world are paying special attention to lung cancer during Lung Awareness Month, such as this theme afternoon.
Judith Herder (Meander TM), Lung Specialist, Aryan Vink (UMCU), Pathologist, Riky Dorrestein (MC, Nurse Specialist), Karen Rutgers (Toon Hermans Huis), Psycho-Oncology Therapist, and Pharmacist Paul Lebbink ( Transvaal pharmacy). After Patient's Day, Lung Cancer Netherlands will award the 2018 GLCC Journalism Award on behalf of the Global Lung Cancer Coalition (GLCC). This year, the "GLCC Journalism Award" was awarded to lung specialist Wanda de Kanter. With her fight against the tobacco industry, she wants to prevent children from becoming addicted to tobacco. Wanda is often in the media on these topics.
