Police Arrest Willeke Dost's Search in Drents Meadow

Drent's police will no longer search for traces of Willeke Dost in a meadow in Koekange. "It's ready for us at this place," said a spokesman. "We have no new clues, we have already searched twice, that's how it stops for us."

Amateur investigators disagree. They are convinced that the missing girl in 1992 is buried in the pasture. They have gathered a group of volunteers and want to search the pastures with goads in mid-December.

Not all is excavated

"There is enough evidence that Willeke is buried there," Ab Bruintjes told RTV Drenthe. "In the meantime, 30% of the pastures have been searched, 70% have not been, so we will do it with goads."

Police take no action against the volunteers and their sting action. "But we are sending them an urgent call for them to rethink their plans," said a spokesman. Earlier this month, police were still digging in the pasture, under pressure from volunteers.

Inventable

Willeke Dost disappeared in 1992 at the age of 15 years. She was living on the farm of her adoptive parents in Koekange. We still do not know what happened to him.

In the pasture behind the farm, research has been done several times in recent years. In 2010, for example, the search was conducted with a ground radar and detection dogs.
