DEN BOSCH – The quadruple involved in the fatal accident of the A2 at the Empel junction on Sunday night was loaned to acquaintances by reality star Nicky Zouwer. He confirms it to Omroep Brabant on request. "Whatever happens, I will always have to carry with me."
Zouwer was asleep Sunday night when he was called by the mother of one of the victims. A serious accident happened with his quad. In the accident, a 31-year-old man from Den Bosch was killed. A 27-year-old man from Rosmalen was seriously injured.
Lent
The victims are Zouwer's acquaintances. They had borrowed his quad for a day. "If I do not use my quad, I'll ride it more often, it was nice, we could keep spinning with it."
But what must have been a nice ride is over by a terrible drama. Just before the Maasbrug, the quad hit the head due to unknown factors. "A friend of mine who drove a few cars gave first aid," says Zouwer.
There is some confusion about the type of vehicle, but according to Zouwer it's definitely a quad and it's not a tricycle. You can drive the quad if you are in possession of a B driving license that was made for 2013. If that is not the case, you can also ride the quad if you have a motorcycle license . According to Zouwer, a helmet is not mandatory, wear a seat belt. "But both men had a helmet," he says.
Out of danger
On Monday morning, Zouwer had contact with the wife of the seriously injured Rosmalen. "She told me that he's out of danger, but he still has to undergo surgery. It's terrible what happened.I will always have to carry that with me.My thoughts are going to families. "
Zouwer gained national fame because of his participation in the TV show" Oh, oh, let's go again ". He comes from Zoetermeer.
