The development of a large fire in the port of Rotterdam has significantly decreased NOW

On Sunday evening, a big fire was raging on the Ophemertstraat in the Rotterdam Waalhaven. According to the emergency services, containers containing mattresses and garbage were on fire.

Smoke released during fire and extinction was visible in the wider area. It was recommended that people who suffer from smoke stay outside and close doors and windows. A NL alert has been sent on this subject

Firefighters are on site with several vehicles. The Rotterdam port company supports firefighters with the Waalhaven water supply. Due to extinguishing activities, the smoke has cooled and the smoke has continued to hang lower.
