The Nevada Republican Party has vowed to appeal Judge James Russell’s ruling on Friday, dismissing allegations of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election made by Trump’s legal team.
Trump’s campaign lawyer Jesse Binnall has presented allegations of electoral fraud, alleging that 42,284 votes were counted twice; about 20,000 voters cast their ballot without a Nevada mailing address; 2,468 voters changed address to another state; and 1,506 supposed votes were cast by deceased persons.
Russell gave the Trump campaign until 10 a.m. Friday to submit evidence to support his claims, saying he would not make a decision until he was able to review the evidence.
The Nevada judge then announced Friday afternoon that he was dismissing the case, saying the campaign had provided no evidence to validate their claims.
“The candidates did not prove, under any standard of proof, that illegal votes were cast and counted, or that legal votes were not counted at all, for any other improper or illegal reason, or an amount equal to or greater than 33,596, or otherwise in an amount sufficient to raise a reasonable doubt about the outcome of the election, ”Russell said Friday afternoon.
“Reasonable doubt is based on reason and not on mere possibility,” he added.
But the Nevada GOP, which posted a video on Twitter showing 20 filing cabinets it said were filled with evidence, pushed back the judge’s decision, vowing to appeal.
“While we appreciate the tribunal’s review of the evidence submitted, we do not agree with the rejection of the competition,” the GOP said in a statement.

“The case and the evidence we presented were compelling and damning,” the statement continued. “President Donald J. Trump’s Nevada voters will immediately appeal this denial to the Nevada Supreme Court. The fight continues for a clean and fair election.”
Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, also pushed back. He told Fox Business’s Lou Dobbs that the judge should assume the evidence is true.
“He doesn’t have the capacity at this point to prove that it’s not true because he hasn’t really heard it all,” Giuliani added, without acknowledging the Friday morning deadline.
Giuliani’s comments come after a week of hearings in various states. GOP lawmakers have listened to complaints and allegations of voter and voter fraud, although election results in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona have all been certified.

“Based on this testimony, the court concludes that there is no credible or reliable evidence that the 2020 Nevada general election was affected by fraud,” Russell said.
