Those who are not vaccinated are not only 29 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID, according to the new CDC study. The study featured in the CDC’s Weekly Morbidity and Mortality Report also shows that unvaccinated people are five times more likely to contract the virus.

Doctors in central Florida and the Tampa Bay area have pointed out that this virus can attack anyone at any age.

This week, there have been over 100,000 positive cases in Florida and that’s a huge difference from the outbreak last month.

Doctors say that as more people receive the vaccine, those numbers are expected to drop even further.

“Every dead person who hasn’t been vaccinated is, uh, it’s preventable death. It’s very, it’s, it’s heartbreaking actually,” said doctor Dr Warren Abel. intensive care unit at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.

More than 75 million Americans are still unvaccinated, and health officials are encouraging people to visit their local health department to get vaccinated.
