Marvel has released a new teaser for Eternals, which includes a montage of Avengers: Endgame flashbacks shrouded in an eerie cloud of black dust.

Marvel just made an interesting change to the Eternals trailer and added several Avengers: Endgame scenes. Directed by Oscar winner Chloe Zhao, the upcoming film stars an array of prominent actors including Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kit Harington, and more. Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 5 as part of MCU Phase 4. It introduces a new set of superheroes in the post-Avengers time.

The Eternals are an immortal alien race secretly residing on Earth for 7,000 years after battling their evil counterpart called the Deviants. The official trailer for the film suggests that they will come out of their centuries-old hiding place because of what happened after the events of End of Game. After the Avengers led by Iron Man and Captain America turn Thanos’ tide, a so-called “emergence” has formed that threatens to destroy the planet in cosmic proportions. While every MCU movie that followed End of Game mentioned the movie somehow, it’s clear that Eternals is more strongly linked to its history.

A new trailer for Eternals explores this point by incorporating several scenes from End of Game in the promotional video. The 30-second clip, designed as a TV spot, shows old footage as Ajak (Hayek) narrates the premise for the upcoming film. The montage features the Avengers entering their headquarters ahead of their famous timeline mission and close-ups of Ant-Man and Iron Man. Interestingly, the End of Game the flashbacks are mounted with a cloud of eerie black dust surrounding the superheroes. Watch the latest teaser below:

Except End of Game scenes, most of the images in this new teaser have already been seen in the previous ones Eternals trailers. Other striking changes include the pronunciation of Ikaris (Madden), “The Eternals Assemble“and the slogan which says:”The end was only the beginning.“These are two obvious nods to the Marvel blockbuster that shaped the entire MCU franchise.

There must be a reason why Marvel decided to add Iron Man and Ant-Man flashbacks among all the Avengers superheroes. It’s also curious why the edit included a smoky dust effect emanating from the characters. What is certain is that Eternals go explore Game over far deeper consequences than any other film or series that followed it. Until there, Loki introduced the functioning of the multiverse while WandaVision gave a preview of how Scarlet Witch’s powers might come into play with this new concept. Sure, all of these pieces will tie into a bigger picture and reveal the new direction of MCU. Fans will have more answers when Eternals premieres in less than a month.
