GMC knows how to launch its Mondays with the launch of the Acadia 2020. In addition to its refreshed look, the mid-sized crossover has many changes on the inside, as well as a new supercharged engine option and a new AT4 variant to further extend the range.
On the front, Acadia 2020 is getting a redesigned grille that will be crowned by standard LED lighting and by GMC's C-shaped front and rear headlights. The AT4 features a more aggressive exterior styling, highlighted by a black chrome finish and a sporty dark interior with contrasting accents.

The Acadia Denali trim remains in the lineup with an easy-to-distinguish chrome exterior and a light interior with an open pore wood accent on the dashboard.
One of the highlights of the new Acadia 2020 is the availability of a brand new 2.0-liter turbocharged dual scroll engine. It will be placed side by side with the 2.5L and 3.6L V6 engines that have been taken over from its predecessor.
The new four-pot turbo mill offers an estimated power of 230 horsepower (172 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm). It promises maximum power with its high valve lift and greater energy efficiency with its low valve lift. It also uses active fuel management (cylinder deactivation) that deactivates two cylinders under low load conditions to maximize efficiency. This new engine is standard in the SLT and Denali versions.
In addition to the new engine, a new nine-speed gearbox will now be standard on all Acadia 2020 variants. It will be controlled via GMC's Electronic Precision Shift System – a system that replaces the joystick. pushbuttons and triggers.
Other Acadia 2020 technologies include a 15-watt wireless charging system, a high-vision rear vision digital camera (standard on SLT, AT4 or Denali models and available on SLE), a Standard eBoost braking with the new 2.0L Turbo engine and suspension refinements that improve driving and maneuverability.
The GMC Acadia 2020 will be in showrooms this fall and will be produced at GM's assembly plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
