Israeli Green Pass rules were reinstated on Thursday, making certain events only available to people who have been vaccinated, recovered or may have a negative coronavirus test result.

The individual must pass a PCR test within 72 hours of their on-site visit and present a negative result upon entry along with photo identification. Starting August 8, unvaccinated people will also be able to test negative on the rapid antigen test to enter a Green Pass location.

Should children be tested?

No. Children under 12, who cannot be vaccinated, do not need to take a test or present a vaccination or recovery certificate to enter a Green Pass location.

So what is the Happy Badge?

The Happy Badge is like the Green Pass but applies specifically to weddings and other large festive events. The main difference is that during these events, which certainly involve food and mixtures, children under the age of 12 must test negative for coronavirus.

These Green Pass rules will remain in effect until August 8, 2021.
