Add about 200 new jobs to the Huntsville market when Governor Kay Ivey announced another supplier for the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA giant site on Wednesday.
Global automaker Vuteq USA plans to invest more than $ 60 million to open a plant near the MTMUS campus in Huntsville, according to a statement from the governor's office.
It is the fifth new provider announced in recent months to support MTMUS with combined investments of $ 440 million, bringing the total number of jobs to about 1,700. This adds up to the 4,000 MTMUS factory jobs.

According to Ivey, Vuteq USA will produce injected plastic interior and exterior parts and various sub-assemblies for Mazda and Toyota at their joint assembly plant in Alabama, currently under construction on a 2,000-hectare site located in the part of Limestone County in Huntsville.

Vuteq will be located at 7306 Greenbriar Parkway NW, near the MTMUS campus. Construction is expected to begin in October and finish in September 2020. Production is scheduled to begin in 2021, which is consistent with Mazda Toyota's production schedule.
