Nineteen more deaths linked to COVID-19
SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials on Tuesday announced 209 more cases of COVID-19. According to the state’s health ministry, the most recent cases are:

1 new case in Cibola County
6 new cases in Curry County
37 new cases in Doña Ana County
6 new cases in Eddy County
3 new cases in Grant County
2 new cases in Lea County
2 new cases in Lincoln County

The Department of Health on Tuesday reported nineteen additional deaths in New Mexico linked to COVID-19:
· A man in his 80s from Curry County. The individual was hospitalized.
· A second man in his 80s from Curry County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
· A man in his 60s from De Baca County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
· A man in his 60s from Doña Ana County.
· A second man in his sixties from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized.
· A third man in his sixties from Doña Ana County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
· A man in his 80s from the county of Doña Ana. The individual was hospitalized.
· A woman in her 50s from Eddy County. The individual was hospitalized.
· A man in his 50s from Eddy County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
· A man in his 50s from Lea County.
· A woman in her sixties from Lea County. The individual was hospitalized.
· A man in his 60s from Lea County. The individual was hospitalized.
· A man in his 60s from Lea County. The individual was hospitalized.
· A man in his 80s from Lea County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
· A man in his 50s from Luna County. The individual was hospitalized.

· A man in his 60s from Otero County. The individual had underlying conditions.
· A man in his thirties from Valencia County. The individual was hospitalized.
Please Note: NMDOH received 14 death certificates from the State of Texas on March 8 that were issued between 1/20/2021 and 2/20/2021 – these deaths are included in today’s update ‘hui. The death toll of New Mexico residents linked to COVID-19 is now 3,830.
The ten state zip codes with the most COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, March 9 are: Daily case count and test numbers are raw data based on information the state receives today. hui – that is, data that has not yet been reviewed to identify potential duplicates or late positives or negatives. To date, 158,616 cases of COVID-19 have been designated as cured by the New Mexico Department of Health.

The Department of Health has detected community spread in the state of New Mexico and is investigating cases with no known exposure.
