Eleven more deaths from COVID-19
SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials on Friday announced 791 more cases of COVID-19. According to the state’s health ministry, the most recent cases are:
● 213 new cases in Bernalillo County
● 48 new cases in Chaves County
● 9 new cases in Cibola County
● 9 new cases in Colfax County
● 24 new cases in Curry County
● 51 new cases in Doña Ana County
● 35 new cases in Eddy County
● 7 new cases in Grant County
● 1 new case in Guadalupe County
● 50 new cases in Lea County
● 15 new cases in Lincoln County
● 3 new cases in Los Alamos County
● 7 new cases in Luna County

The Department of Health reported eleven additional deaths in New Mexico from COVID-19 on Friday:
Ten recent deaths:
● A woman in her 90s from Chaves County. The individual was hospitalized and suffered from underlying conditions.
● A woman in her sixties from Cibola County. The individual was hospitalized.
● A man in his 60s from Curry County. The individual was hospitalized and suffered from underlying conditions.
● A man in his 60s from Curry County. The individual was hospitalized and suffered from underlying conditions.
● A man in his 60s from Eddy County.
● A man in his 40s from Lea County. The individual was hospitalized and suffered from underlying conditions.
● A man in his 60s from Lea County. The individual had underlying conditions.
● A woman in her 80s from Roosevelt County. The individual had underlying conditions.
● A man in his forties from Sandoval County. The individual was hospitalized.
● A man in his 80s from Sandoval County. The individual was hospitalized.
Death> 30 days:
● A woman in her 40s from Lea County. The individual had underlying conditions.
The death toll of New Mexico residents linked to COVID-19 is now 4,812.

New Mexicans who report symptoms of COVID-19 infection, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, repeated tremors with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, stuffy or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea and / or loss of taste or smell should immediately call their health care provider or the NMDOH COVID-19 hotline (1-855-600-3453).
The Department of Health strongly encourages the following groups to get tested:

● Patients who are due for surgery and whose provider has advised them to be tested before surgery.
