New Pixel 6 Leak Reveals Specs Months Before Launch

Google isn’t expected to announce its next flagship phones until this fall, but a recent leak may have just revealed specs for the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro months ahead of schedule.

Now, before we get into the specs themselves, it’s important to note that these leaks are from Jon prosser, which has had an uneven track record of leaks and predictions lately. That said, these new leaked specs appear to be in line with previous rumors and predictions, so while every detail may not be 100% accurate, this leak should give us a good idea of ​​what Google is working on later this fall.

According to a “very reliable source” who spoke to Prosser, the Pixel 6 line will be split into two different models, the standard 6.4-inch Pixel (codenamed Oriel) and the larger Pixel 6 Pro (codenamed Raven ).

Standard Pixel 6 specs should include:

• 6.4 inch AMOLED display made by Samsung
• 8 GB RAM
• 128 GB or 256 GB of storage
• 8 MP selfie camera
• 50 MP (primary) and 12 MP (ultra wide) rear cams
• 4,614 mAh battery

Meanwhile, the Pixel 6 Pro’s specs are expected to include:

• 6.71 inch pOLED display made by LG
• 12 GB RAM
• 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB of RAM
• 12 MP selfie camera
• 50-MP (primary), 48-MP (telephoto) and a 12-MP (ultra-wide) rear cam
• 5000 mAh battery

Additionally, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are expected to be powered by a custom Google chipset and will support 6th and 5G Wi-Fi connectivity.

Just looking at these leaked specs, there are a few notable takeaways. The first is that with 4614mAh and 5000mAh batteries, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro would have by far the largest battery capacity of any Pixel, which should go a long way in addressing a common complaint about the Pixel range: poor battery life. .
