The kids of Hawkins, Indiana are about to encounter a new nightmare Strange things season 4. Netflix has announced new cast members for Stranger Things 4, the upcoming fourth installment in the streamer’s flagship sci-fi horror series, and it includes none other than Freddy Krueger himself. Robert englund, the star of Wes Craven Nightmare on Elm Street horror franchise, join the Stranger Things 4 cast alongside a slew of newcomers, including new series regulars Jamie Campbell Bower (TMortal Instruments: City of Bones) and Eduardo Franco (Booksmart).

Strange things hit the nail on the head yet again with a cast of nostalgic stunts – following the cast of the series of iconic ’80s stars like Sean Astin, Winona Ryder and Paul Reiser, with perhaps their best result yet: Freddy Krueger. As a deranged murderer, of course.

Englund joins the cast of Stranger Things 4 as a recurring character in Victor Creel, “a deranged and intimidating man imprisoned in a mental hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s”, the Strange things Twitter account announced in a thread revealing the new cast members.

Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Peter Ballard, “a caring man who works as a nurse in a mental hospital”, is tired of witnessing the brutality of the hospital every day. ” Eduardo Franco as Argyle, the new best friend of Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) who is “a fun loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizzas for Surfer Boy Pizza”; and Joseph quinn (Catherine the Great) like Eddie Munson, boss of Hellfire Club, Hawkins’ official D&D club, which is also notably the title of the first episode of season 4. Deadline notes that Eddie is an 80s metalhead and an outsider who will find itself at the terrifying epicenter of this season’s mystery.

The other recurring characters in season 4 are The iron Throne alum Tom wlaschiha (Mr. Jaqen H’ghar himself), Sherman Augustus (Westworld), Mason tincture (Bosch,), and Nikola Djuricko (Genius, in the land of blood and honey). You can see their character descriptions in the Twitter thread below.

Few details are known about Stranger Things 4, although the creators of the Duffer Brothers teased that “a new horror is starting to surface, something long buried, something that ties everything together.” The series, which will see the return of apparently dead Jim Hopper (David Harbor), also stars Millie Bobbie Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, David Harbor, Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cary Elwes, Jake Busey, Maya Thurman-Hawk, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono and Brett Gelman.

The fourth season of Strange things does not yet have a fixed release date, although it was previously said that it might arrive in early 2021.
