New York health care worker suffers ‘significant allergic reaction’ to coronavirus vaccine

NEW YORK (WABC) – A healthcare worker in New York City has suffered a “significant allergic reaction” to the coronavirus vaccine.

The Mount Sinai system health worker has been treated and is in stable condition.

The reaction has been reported to the CDC, which will likely issue a case report.

This is the only report of a serious side effect to date in New York.

More than 30,000 COVID-19 vaccines were administered in New York City on Wednesday morning.

The city said in a statement: “Vaccines have side effects and allergic reactions – although rare – are known to occur.
