A Zanesville woman will remain in county jail after disclosing her drug abuse during pregnancy and after childbirth.
Tiffany Reber, 31, was apprehended by authorities after her involvement in a theft which uncovered drugs in her possession.
According to his indictment, Reber and his partner, Nathaniel Shumate, were involved in a robbery north of Zanesville Walmart in September 2020.
Upon their arrest, officers found both methamphetamine and heroin in their possession. In between, the couple also had nearly $ 2,000 in cash.
For her involvement, Reber has been charged with several counts of drug possession, tampering with evidence and theft.
Accused of a $ 50,000 bond, Reber, through her lawyer, requested an engagement bond referring to her lack of a criminal record and her recent childbirth.
Muskingum County Assistant District Attorney Molly Martin said she felt the bail was appropriate with reference to Reber’s various traffic offenses, the 2016 drug addiction charge and the 2018 OVI.
When asked by the judge if she would take a drug test, Reber replied that she would not. Its link was continued as previously defined.
The child’s condition is currently unknown, including whether he or she was born addicted to drugs.
