The Cleveland browns The 2021 home opener provided plenty of thrills and thrills.
Fans filled the stands and FirstEnergy Stadium vibrated for the first time since the 2019 season.

This game was closer than the final score shows at 31-21, especially in the first half when Brown’s former quarterback Tyrod taylor kept the Houston Texans against the Browns.

Here are the news and notes for week 2.
1. Browns continue the model under trainer Stefanski
Especially superstitious Browns fans are probably happy to find out after the win.
The team have never lost two consecutive games under Stefanski and luckily the victory over the Texans continued that habit of winning.
The #Brown have never lost consecutive games under Kevin Stefanski.

2. Speaking of Stefanski, his post-match summary was perfect
Calling out Malcolm smith and Grant Delpit defending for their efforts as well as the offensive and special successes of the teams, Stefanski spoke of winning but correcting mistakes.
As usual, he is there.

3. Jarvis landry
The win is fantastic, but it’s never nice to see wide receiver Jarvis Landry leave the game early and not come back.
Hopefully the injury is minor and he’ll be back soon.
Browns believes WR Jarvis Landry has a sprained MCL and will undergo further testing, according to the source.

4. Rule of “recruits”
Grant Delpit never came onto the field last season in his true rookie year, but he made up for it in his debut against the Texans.
Grant Delpit had 1 bag. The other was counted as a loss tackle as it was technically a running game the Texans QB went wrong. They didn’t give him a bag for it. ?? https://t.co/16xIZwVr4x

And Demetric Felton had his first career reception, a touchdown, in addition to having an impact on special teams.

5. AFC North is deadlocked
With victories for the Browns and Ravens and losses for the Bengals and Steelers, all AFC North teams are 1-1.
That’s exactly what we expected from one of football’s most competitive and underrated divisions that produced three playoff teams in 2020.
Well, to quote the big one @EdBouchette, we have a tie at four in the AFC North for first and last place.

In Week 3, the Browns host the Chicago Bears.
Sunday’s win proved once again that there is a long season ahead, and the Browns will have to fight for every win.
