The Champions Parade and associated festivities will take place on Saturday, October 9 in historic downtown Santa Clara. The day includes the farmer’s market (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.), the community village (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.), the parade (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and salsa in the square (1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Information about the event is available at www.scparadeofchampions.org

  • Temporary “no parking” signs will be posted along the parade route. Vehicles parked along the parade route will be ticketed (minimum fine, $ 53) and towed (release fee, $ 85, plus storage fee). If your vehicle has been towed, it will be at one of the following locations:

  • The parade route is approximately 0.74 miles and will begin at Monroe Street in Market Street. It will move north along Monroe Street, turn right on Benton Street, and end at the corner of Benton Street and Alviso Street.
  • The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Market Street, between Madison Street and Washington Street
  • Washington Street, between Market Street and Lafayette Street
  • Monroe Street, between Rip Miller Way and Market Street
  • Between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., resident access will be restricted within the parade footprint at Madison Street and Bellomy Street, Market Street and Lafayette Street, and Bellomy Street and Lafayette Street; proof of residence will be required
  • From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic
  • Monroe Street, between Market Street and Benton Street
  • Benton Street, between Monroe Street and Sherman Street
  • Alviso Street, between Fremont Street and Franklin Street
  • The Alameda, between Fremont Street and Franklin Street
  • Franklin Street, between Sherman Street and the Alameda

Residents and businesses, please plan accordingly. With the exception of emergency personnel, vehicles will not be able to enter or exit the event footprint between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

  • Walking, cycling, carpooling, carpooling and public transport are strongly encouraged for participants, participants and volunteers
  • On-street parking is very limited; check the event organizer’s website for parking alternatives at www.scparadeofchampions.org. Do not block walkways, fire hydrants or crosswalks in residential areas and dispose of your personal waste
  • Amplified sound (e.g. public speech, pre-recorded and live music) will occur during the hours of the event
  • Be observant and watch your surroundings. If you notice any suspicious objects or observe suspicious behavior, immediately report this information to local law enforcement
