JOPLIN, Mo. – A natural gas leak forces emergency crews in Joplin to block and evacuate a city street. Things are now under control. But on Wednesday, Joplin Avenue, between 12th and 16th streets, was closed as crews fixed a gas leak. Spire Natural Gas says the leak was caused by a third party, not a Spire crew. JOPLIN, Mo. – Freeman Health officials on Thursday unveiled their newly expanded sleep facility. The center was expanded to include two more sleep study lab beds and the other study rooms were renovated. JOPLIN, Mo. – October is National Arts and Humanities Month and yesterday the town of Joplin celebrated with the first Artwalk Thursday. During the Joplin Art Walk, Mayor Ryan Stanley proclaimed the Month, Arts and Humanities Month, every year for Joplin. As usual, the artwalk also featured a lot of art, food and fun. JOPLIN, Mo. – The people of Joplin will have the chance to learn some of the history of the city. The Dream Theater Company organizes historical ghost tours.
