TVNZ Information Bulletin 1 was removed for more than five minutes on Wednesday night.
About one minute of Thai cave rescue coverage was played before broadcast, resuming at 6:09 pm.
The state broadcaster tweeted that he had experienced some "technical problems".

At the Auckland studio, the 18 o'clock bulletin was delayed by half an hour. Nine fire trucks and 32 firefighters were called and the staff was evacuated.
TVNZ went out of the air and news was delayed until staff could return to the Hobson St site around 6:30 pm, approximately one hour after the alarm was sounded. .
Another failure of 18h for TVNZ. Ouch. Where is the redundancy for these types of problems?
