Keith Urban offers advice to Demi Lovato following her own addictive battle

A few days after the hospitalization of Demi Lovato, according to sources, AND was a drug overdose, Keith Urban has some tips for the 25-year-old pop star.

Urban, like Lovato, was very open about his fight against drug addiction." In a profile of Rolling Stone he opened up on his addiction, admitting that he had already thought about committing suicide

"

Urban also touched the way which he reflected on at that moment after becoming sober. "At the beginning of my sobriety, there was a time when I wished I had not succumbed to drugs and everything I did," he shared. "It was so creative that I should have worked in the studio. But I do not know what comes from that time, except that I'm where I am. Because of, or despite, no one knows it and will never want it.

Lovato was hospitalized on Tuesday after suffering from a drug overdose, several sources say to ET.
