The singer Demi Lovato has not yet come out of the hospital following a drug overdose due to "complications".

Sources close to Lovato told TMZ that the former Disney star was still at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles six days after being admitted because she is suffering from " complications "related to overdose, including extreme nausea and high fever

Lovato was taken to hospital last Tuesday (local time) after an unknown overdose. The representatives of the pop singer did not provide details on what led to the hospitalization of the singer.

TMZ was the first to report that Lovato had been hospitalized for a drug overdose, according to his sources, and other media based hospitalization sources.

Last Thursday, firefighters broadcast an audio clip of a 911 call that led to Lovato's hospitalization. However, the four-and-a-half minute call did not include more details on what had led paramedics to transport her to a Los Angeles hospital.

At one point, the caller asks paramedics not to use their sirens to answer the house.

The dispatcher tells the woman that he has no control over this, and that "it's definitely a medical emergency for her". It can be heard that paramedics must go to the home as quickly as possible

Lovato said in a new song published last month that she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.

On the song Sober, she sings lyrics: "Mumma, I'm so sorry I'm no longer sober / And dad forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor."

In her YouTube documentary released last year called Demi Lovato, Simply Complicated, she openly discusses her use of cocaine and battles with alcohol.
