Aio – The new bilingual EP in te reo Māori de Huia

[ad_1]

io – to be at peace.

Āio is what we are looking for in our
own spirit,

Āio is what nature is
appellant and

io is what the
world needs …

Āio is barefoot,
bass rich in synth, heavily lyrical and deep with a silk vibe
everything in Maori.

Marking 10 years since his first
Ta reo Māori, Huia writes Āio for the
last year, balancing life as a mom and an artist. This
EP reflects this trip, with waiata that balance
2 musical worlds in which she lives, that is to say the space between
the traditional Maori sound and the electronic vibrations of
ever-changing musical consciousness of now.

" io
itself is a breath of fresh air in today's music.
scene – a scene that (although I like) is often flooded
with songs about turning on, and having a broken heart –
Huia leans towards a perfect little mix of
take care of your inner self, and also of nature
the world where we are surrounded. "( Amanda Hailwood for
Muzik.net.nz
)

A quick summary of Āio – a
EP 5 tracks

• Āio (Be At Peace) – A waiata
about the connection with Te Ao, our nature and the
symbiotic relationship we have with Papatūānuku and
Tangaroa

• Tui Tuia (Weave) – A message for the future,
for when his sons go to the world. Remember your culture
and come back to your Maunga and Awa if you lose your
way

• Tūāuri (Being Indigo) – A waiata aroha, a love
song on an indigo, a warm space of love

• Tohunga (The
Revered) – a lifting waiata, you are all important, his
not just about celebrities, the sun is shining too
everybody!

• Ngākau Ruwha – a waiata on the mind
health, keep self-control and take a look at the inside
your book, your Ngākau ruwha / worn heart and history. Being
in this space is beautiful.

With the electro-haka rhythms of
Rei, award-winning artist, then mix and mastering
skills of Chris Chetland KOG Studio, Āio is emotional and
beautifully produced. With the tautoko (support) of Te
Māngai Paho, who focuses on strengthening the first
Aotearoa language, this te ree Māori E.P. sinks on
from his last release, ĀTA EP in 2016.
