Dunedin ready to host the biggest Kendrick Lamar show of The Damn NZ and Oz

About 16,000 people from the region will converge on Forsyth Barr Stadium to see the Pulitzer Prize-winning artist before two concerts in Auckland later this week

making it the largest Individual show of the Australian and New Zealand tour.

The city is already buzzing RNZ spoke to three workers, who asked to remain anonymous, who transported Kendrick Lamar's equipment from Australia to Dunedin.

"It was a full 737 14 and half a ton of freight, then there is another 737 with all of his entourage," said one of the workers.

Mayor Dave Cull hailed the event tonight, saying that he was important to expose the community to a range of prominent artists.

The concert also brought a welcome financial boost, he said. About 45 million dollars have already been injected into the city from events prior to the stadium, said Mr. Cull.
