MUMBAI: Veteran writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar says that the reason Rajkumar Hirani is able to make cinema that touches the heart is because it's a good human being.

Hirani is currently reveling in the success of his latest film "Sanju", which has surpassed the figure of 120 crore Rs in its opening weekend.

Prating the director, Akhtar said: "I am a great admirer of Rajkumar Hirani, once again, he did an incredible job and I always say one thing about him: to make these kind of films, you have to not only to be a good director or a very good writer, but also to be a quality human being.

Akhtar interacted with the media when he unveiled Chitragupta Chowk at the corner of the 14th Street and Danda Road (Khar) with other celebrities like Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Lalit Pandit and Mukesh Rishi here on Monday.
