Hundreds of soundtracks from the Flying Nun Music Label Archive were donated to the Alexander Turnbull Library

The Turnbull Library – which is 100 years old this year – is part of the National Library of New Zealand
Bands are fragile or on obsolete formats, and the library will digitally retain all records on

Michael Brown, the curator of music at the library, stated that he was determined to protect all the rights of the artists inherent in the subject.
"Once the masters have been preserved and We are really looking forward to working with Flying Nun on future reissues of music, exhibitions and other opportunities. We hope this collection will greatly enhance research on New Zealand music. "
