Of course, the franchise Fast and Furious could rely heavily on the notion of family, but there was a behind-the-scenes drama that caused some distortions between the main actors of Series. Perhaps more particularly, the franchise made headlines when rivalry surfaced between The Rock and Tyrese Gibson before the release of The Fate of the Furious last year. We have not heard much about the dispute since, but The Rock recently talked about beef between men to explain that it was more one-sided than some people thought. At an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Rock explained:
It all started last year when Tyrese Gibson started making fun of The Rock on the social networks and called his co-star for a variety of reasons. This also led Gibson to hijack The Rock photos and threaten to leave the franchise if The Rock appeared in the ninth edition. However, as The Rock noted in his own comments on the issue, Gibson was going through personal problems at the time, and the two did not talk at all, and The Rock sees no reason to put those conversations in motion.
With all this, it seems that everyone seems to have gone to their respective corners now. The Rock is currently preparing for its own spin-off Fast and Furious alongside Jason Statham, while Tyrese Gibson is likely to return to the main franchise for Fast and Furious 9 and ] Fast and Furious 10 if everything is aligned.
