A feature film for Freddie Mercury's upcoming biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, is out

Directed by Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle) from a project begun by Bryan Singer (X-Men), the film follows the enigmatic leader of the Queen in the years leading the band's memorable performance at the Live Aid charity concert at Wembley Stadium in 1985.

Rami Malek (Mr. Robot) plays the role of Mercury – a role initially attributed to Sacha Baron Cohen – then as the band grows in popularity, but his personal troubles spiral. The group nearly imploded, but the singer guides them in their successful Live Aid performance in the face of a life-threatening illness.

Mercury died on November 24, 1991, at the age of 45.

Mike Myers, Tom Hollander and Aidan Gillen, Bohemian Rhapsody is published in the United Kingdom on October 24 and in the United States as of November 2.

The film opens in other territories from November to December.
