INDIANAPOLIS – The frenzy surrounding Oklahoma 's quarterback, Kyler Murray, continued after he revealed Friday that he would meet the Cardinals at the NFL Combine Scouting.
The Cardinals have the # 1 draw in the 2019 NFL draw, and Murray's measurable values have significantly increased his stock. While Arizona was already using its 2018 first-round pick against Josh Rosen, a meeting with Murray said the team had not closed the door to the resumption of the quarter in 2019.
The 49ers have the No. 2 pick in this year's draft. So, if Murray heads to Arizona, Nick Bosa may well fall into the towers of 49ers general manager John Lynch and his coach Kyle Shanahan.
Rosen had a rough season as a rookie, but that's not entirely his fault. The Cardinals offensive line tackled the injury virus and veteran Larry Fitzgerald was the only receiver with more than 500 yards for the season. He led the team with 69 catches for 734 yards.
Rosen completed 217 of 393 passes for 2,278 yards and 11 touchdowns in 14 games. Murray would bring the extra dimension of mobility to the Arizona Offensive, not to mention that he already has a relationship with new coach Kliff Kingsbury.
"Coach Kingsbury, you know the type of offense he's leading," Murray said. "He recruited me out of high school. I have a great relationship with him. If I had to play under him, I think it would be a good deal. "
A video largely highlighted a video showing that Kingsbury was very complementary to Murray at the time when he was still head coach of Texas Tech. Kingsbury said at that time that he would pick Murray with the first pick in the repechage.
"Obviously, generous words from him," Murray said. "As I said, it's the relationship. He loves me a lot, I respect him and I have never taken it for granted. It's always someone to whom I could go if I needed anything. So, as I said, it would be fun. It would be a good deal if I had been chosen number 1. "
Murray was also complementary to the coach of the Cardinals. It would also be an easy fit to Kingsbury's Kings Raiders offensive scheme.
"Obviously, I'm very comfortable knowing how he handles the offense," Murray said. "What we are looking for and how we behave there, as far as everything goes up to the line of scrimmage, the receivers, you know."

There is still a lot of time before this scenario materializes, and Murray confirmed that he had several meetings scheduled with a myriad of teams. But for the moment, the fans of the 49ers can keep their dream of ensuring that their team gets the best result. After all, Murray approves his departure for Arizona and Kingsbury's training.
