NFL Playoff Picture 2020: What the leaderboard looks like at the end of week 10

[ad_1]

Week 10 is drawing to a close and we are quickly approaching the home stretch of the 2020 season. The Patriots and Ravens have started with the Patriots looking to get back into the wilds race and the Ravens looking to keep up the pace with the undefeated Steelers. Week 10 ends Monday night football with the Bears welcoming the Vikings in a massive NFC North game.

The NFL is expanding the playoff pool this year, adding a wild card to each conference to bring the total to 14 teams. The # 1 seed from each conference will get a pass in the first round. The opening round will feature the three division winners against the three wild card winners (2/7, 3/6, 4/5). If important games are canceled or postponed due to Covid-19, owners and players have agreed to expand the playoff field to 16 teams with four wild card winners.

The biggest wins of Week 10 go to the Cardinals on a Hail Mary against the Bills and Rams, who held off the Seahawks at home. The low-key precious victory could have been the Giants beating the Eagles with relative ease. Philly remains in first place in the NFC East, but the 3-7 Giants are suddenly within spitting range of the 3-5-1 Eagles!

Week 11 is filled with important games influencing the image of the playoffs. All three prime-time games – Cardinals vs. Seahawks, Chiefs vs. Raiders, Rams vs. Buccaneers – feature teams at the heart of the playoff race. Add the Titans against Ravens and the Eagles in a big game against the Browns and it will be a big football weekend.

This is what the Sunday night playoff image looks like Sunday night football and Monday night football closes week 10.
