As fans rushed onto the pitch, three officers surrounded Saban and led him to the locker room. A woman who got in the way was trucked in by one of the senior officers. CBS 42’s Dee Jackson seized the moment as it looked like he was on the ground as pandemonium ensued.

The SEC is fining fans rushing onto the pitch, and Texas A&M will be no exception. According to AL.com, a school could face between $ 50,000 and $ 250,000 for fans storming the field.

Aggies quarterback Zach Calzada delivered a heroic performance in the game for Texas A&M. He was 21 for 31 with 285 passing yards, three touchdown passes and one interception. In his egalitarian touchdown pass to Ainias Smith, he fell with an apparent leg injury and had to be assisted off the field. He finally rocked that out and led the Aggies onto the field to set up the Seth Small kick.

TEXAS A&M CHANGE NO. 1 ALABAMA, SHOCKS COLLEGE FOOTBALL WORLD

Alabama were roughly at halftime and managed to come come back and even take the lead in the fourth quarter. But it was Calzada who led Texas A&M twice – once to equalize and the other to prepare Small to win the game.

This is the first time Saban has lost to a former assistant coach – this one comes to Jimbo Fisher. This is Alabama’s first loss since November 30, 2019, when they lost by three to Auburn.

Bryce Young put in some great shots trying to get the team back into the game. He finished with 369 passing yards and three touchdown passes as well as an early interception.
