Nintendo unveiled Thursday its plans for E3 2019, confirming that it will air a new Nintendo Direct presentation on June 11 at 9:00 am Pacific Time. AND will officially open the exhibition on this year's games.

Nintendo Direct E3 2019, as Nintendo calls it, will be "entirely software-centric, [and] will provide an overview of the games scheduled for launch in 2019, "according to the company. This description seems to reinforce the statement that Nintendo will not talk about a new model of its Switch console at E3.

The range announced by the company for 2019 includes Super Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem: Three houses, Astral chain, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, Dragon Quest 11 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Final Edition, Crossing of animals for Nintendo Switch, Daemon X Machina, Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokémon Sword and Shield, and THE legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

Nintendo will also be hosting its traditional live show Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 2019. The details of this multi-day feed are coming soon.

While Nintendo did not indicate which games would be playable at E3 2019 – nor did it indicate specific titles in the center of its stand, as it had done in previous years with The legend of Zelda: the breath of nature and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – it's trying something new this year. The company offers fans reduced waiting times for "some Nintendo games" if they book a Warp Passport. The pass is free, but requires a Nintendo account to reserve one. Additional details on this program are also forthcoming.

Finally, Nintendo will welcome the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 2019 3v3 World Championship and the Splatoon 2 The 2019 World Championships will be held on Saturday, June 8th. For more details on Nintendo's competitive programs and its other E3 2019 programs, visit the company's E3 website.
