Fans of “The Real Housewives of New York” will have one less show this season.
“Due to scheduling issues related to the timely taping of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ reunion, Bravo has confirmed that there will be no reunion for this season,” said a network spokesperson at Page Six.
“It’s disappointing not to be able to get the cast together, but we’re happy to have ended on such a high note with the finale, and we’re now focusing on next season.”
When asked how the women reacted to the news, we were told, “They grudgingly understood. “
“It would have been so long since the final,” the source continued. “[It] It doesn’t make sense to have a meeting 2 months later to get them to understand this part, but they are disappointed.
The “RHONY” reunion special is a much-anticipated clearinghouse for the dramas built up over the season just ended.
In July, Page Six reported that Sonja Morgan, Leah McSweeney, Ramona Singer, Eboni K. Williams and Luann de Lesseps were scheduled to film the Season 13 reunion on August 5, but were told the recording was on hold until at least September in the midst of a drop in ratings.
The show’s 13th season divided fans, with the lowest-rated July episode ever, according to the Daily Mail, drawing just 764,000 live viewers. A source told the British publication at the time that the stars of the show were told they would not be resuming filming until early 2022, months behind schedule.
