NOLS is reserving online discussion groups for October

PORT ANGELES – The North Olympic Library System will continue its online book discussion groups throughout October.

Participants must register for www.nols.org to receive links to free Zoom meetings.

• The second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3:00 pm on Saturday October 9 to discuss Roxane Gay’s “Hunger”.

Paperback copies are available for collection at the Sequim library.

The group will discuss “So You Want to Talk About Race” by Ijeoma Oluo in November.

• The second Tuesday book discussion group will meet at 11 am on Tuesday, October 12 to discuss “The Dutch House” by Ann Patchett.

Paperback copies are available for collection at the Port Angeles Library.

In November, the group will discuss Abi Daré’s “Girl with a Loud Voice”.

• The Novel Conversations book discussion group will meet at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27 to talk about “The Nickel Boys” by Colson Whitehead.

Paperback copies are available for collection at the Sequim library.

The group plans to discuss “The Lost City of the Ape God: A True Story” by Douglas Preston in November.

• The Wednesday Night Book Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, October 27 to discuss “America: The Farewell Tour” by Chris Hedges.

Paperback copies are available for collection at the Port Angeles Library.

Her November selection is “The Painter” by Peter Heller.

In November, the Novel Conversations and Wednesday Night groups will meet a week earlier than usual due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
