“There’s no reason anyone anywhere in America should tell a kid about transgender, homosexuality, all that filth,” he said at the event, in a video recently posted on social media. “And yes, I called it dirt, and if you don’t like it I called it dirt, come see me and I’ll explain it to you.”
White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates of North Carolina called the comments “disgusting and offensive.”
North Carolina State Senator Jeff Jackson and North Carolina State Senator Wiley Nickel, both Democrats, are now calling on Robinson to step down, with Nickel saying the Republican is “a shame and a shame. embarrassment for our State ”.
Robinson, however, continued in his video that “the media and the left” were trying to shift the focus of his educational commentaries towards the gay community and his alleged “hatred” for them.

“I will fight and protect the rights of all citizens, including those of the LGBTQ community, to speak out as they wish.
