According to local sources, at least 61 people were killed in fighting in the city of Hodeida in Yemen. Many of the wounded are taken to the hospital outside the city.

Health officials in Hodeida announced on Sunday that 43 Houthi rebels had been killed in the last 24 hours.

In addition, nine members of the forces were killed in support of President Abd-Rabbi Mansour Hadi and the Saudi coalition in the country. Nine other Allied coalition warriors should have been killed in a hospital south of the city.

The coalition and its supporters are trying to retake Hodeida from the Shiyan Houthiene, who have relations with Iran. In a week and a half, more than 400 people were killed in the city.

The Houthi movement controls large areas in Yemen, including the capital Sana.

The conflict in Yemen, ongoing since 2015, triggered a humanitarian catastrophe. Humanitarian organizations have warned that millions of people in the country are at risk of hunger.

The UN believes that Yemen is on the verge of what could be the worst hunger disaster in the world for decades.
