The French National Assembly is in danger of death, says Chief Marine Le Pen. The party is accused of abusing EU funds and a court seized 2 million euros.

The party spent public funds for several years for assistants of the European Parliament to pay parties in France. Two judges have now seized a sum of money in the National Assembly to ensure that the party can repay 7 million euros to the European Parliament, if a court requires it.

The Pen called the decision "death sentence" judges to try to destroy the National Assembly. Without money, the party can not pay a salary in August and Le Pen asked all those who "love democracy" to stand up for the National Assembly.

The party soon launched a fundraiser and asked those who "do not want France to become a dictatorship" to contribute.

A number of politicians expressed their support for the National Assembly. The principle in a democratic country is that the seizure will not threaten the existence of the party, "says Olivier Faure, from the Socialist Party to Europe Radio 1.

Leader in the UDI Center, Jean-Christophe Lagarde, says that The Pen has a "right to protest" and the judges should wait for the case before the aid is frozen.
