The couple was exposed to a high dose of nerve poisoning on contact with a container, according to the London Police. This is a bottle of perfume found in a trash can.
Experts believe that the couple may have been exposed to the same substance as former Russian double agent Sergey Skripal and his daughter. They were poisoned in the city of Salisbury, located just off Amesbury, in March
Novichok was developed in the Soviet Union during the Cold War. The United Kingdom has been accused of poison attack against Skripal's father and daughter in Russia. Russian authorities openly reject the accusations, but the incident triggered a diplomatic crisis in which hundreds of e-mails were expelled from Russia and Western countries.
Worry
Wilkinson says that the hospital has received several requests from people worried exposed to never-gift. She points out, however, that only five victims were identified – father and daughter Skripal, Rowley and Sturgess and a police officer who helped Sergei and Julia Skripal.
Wiltshire Police Chief Kier Pritchard said the police will work with local institutions to provide Rowley with the support he needs during his stay.
The British authorities have placed their father and daughter in a safe place until here.
