The newspaper writes that witnesses said they saw an armed author enter the synagogue and open fire.

Many had visited the synagogue on Saturday on the occasion of the Jewish Sabbath. Police said they received messages from people who had requested to have a blanket inside the building.
President Donald Trump writes in a message on Twitter that he follows the incident:

People there say that the synagogue is located in a quiet neighborhood, where there are several other synagogues. Pittsburgh is located in the state of Pennsylvania.
